About

Hi! I'm Laura. I strive for a brighter future through storytelling and art making. I'm a neurodivergent writer and artist, a freelance communications specialist, a recent graduate in Critical Studies (M.A.) and Applied Craft + Design (M.F.A.) from Pacific Northwest College of Art, and a cat parent.

In 2015, I completed Neighborhood Partnerships' Advocates College and Oregon Voice's Communications Academy, both of which teach key communications skills for advocacy campaigns. Since then, I've applied those skills to several of Northwest Health Foundation's grant-making initiatives, a successful campaign to end Cowlitz County's contract with ICE to detain immigrant youth, Michael Reyes' 2021 campaign for Reynolds School District Board, and more.

I'm currently seeking freelance communications work from clients who are pursuing their vision of a better world.

Interested in working with me or learning more about what I do? Email me at lauralisonash@gmail.com.
